Welcome to YourCompCard - The Entertainer's Resume/Comp.Card Service

To All of the Actors, Actresses, Models, and other performing artists, welcome to the YourCompCard blog. This site was inspired by a 15 year old ("Rita") who wanted to get into acting and by a seasoned runway model and actress ("Shana Nicole") who referred Rita to me in getting her started. Additional inspiration also came from a dear friend of mine ("Janet Brooks Holmes") who is not only a seasoned model, but an accomplished actress and certified physical fitness instructor. To these three important people, thank you for recognizing my work and thank you for the inspiration to help others in our trade.

Now whether you are a seasoned professional actor or a rookie model, just getting started, the most important piece of information you need is your Resume (acting) or Comp.Card (modeling). What's the importance? Your resume is your calling card, it is what casting directors see before you even step in the door. To coin a phrase, "you have to put your best face foward" would be the best way to emphasize the importance of this tool.

Seeing this need by predominantly new actors, models & entertainers showed me that a cost effective, yet personal & professional touch was needed and that is where I come in.

How it all began for me? Here is my story...and I'm sticking to it.

Shana referred Rita to me, and as a seasoned actor who has been on stage as a comedian, behind the radio microphone as an on-air personality and on camera in several different roles (television & big screen), I already had my resume that I had done with a layout that I personally designed and was pleased with. Taking my handy work, I used my standard layout in a different variation for Rita's first comp.card and she was pleased (Rita's first submission was to MCA Casting for consideration with Coca Cola, Nike and several other major brands. Her second to Carol GoldWasser in 'Tinsel Town' ala Hollywood.) In appreciation for Shana referring Rita, I completed one for her as well, with yet another variant of the layouts I have.

As word of my service started to spread, I spoke with Janet about it and showed her my work. Soon after looking at the quality of my work and the layouts, she asked for my templates to do her resume/comp.card with. And without a second thought or moment of hesitation I sent them to her. And shortly after that, with Janet's encouragement and Shana starting to spread the word of my Resume/Comp.Card Service, Whala, we're kicking it off.

So WELCOME TO YourCompCard, the place to get professionally designed resume/comp.cards done for a fraction of the cost of the other guys and done by not only seasoned computer experts, but by seasoned entertainment experts as well. We have what other sites don't, and that is, "the personal touch."
